Synopsis: The New Member's Handbook for the Christian Believer0741480964 resized 600

The New Members’ Handbook for the Christian Believer is to teach new Christians about the beginning stages of spiritual growth and development as a new believer. There has to be a continuing process of the Word of God. You will begin to learn: What is the Bible consists of, Salvation, Baptism, Baptism of the Holy Spirit, The Lord’s Supper, Tithes and Offering, Spiritual Gifts, Prayer, and the Purpose of the Church? As a disciple of Jesus Christ we have to show ourselves approved unto God and stay in constant fellowship with Him so we can live our lives with purpose.

Author Interview

Here’s your chance to market your book.  Describe it.  And why readers should pick it up?

My New Members Handbook is for church ministries and individuals that want to know the basic foundations of why they joined the church and go through the learning process of what does the bible consists of or what is salvation. It is so important as new babies in Christ to learn what does the bible says even in their everyday life and the purpose of the church.

How did your book come to life?

I was asked to do this book for a church that did not have a new members book for their church about December 2011.

Did you learn anything from writing your book that was unexpected?

I leaned more of what the Bible says about the particular subjects in the book. As a writer I always learn something new because I am the student first.

What are you doing to market the book?

I have events coming up, Christians Authors on Tour, African American Authors Expo, 3rd Annual Philly Urban Book Festival, Philly Christian Book Festival.

Where do you want to go with your writing career?  Where do you see your writing career in five years?

In five years I want to have 5 extra books published along with speaking and book signing venues.

What is your work in progress?

I am currently working on two books, one is poetry, and another church related.

What are your thoughts on self-publishing verses traditional publishing?

Self-Publishing is different from traditional because you are in total control over the whole process and traditional publishing deals with contracts with limited control.

If there were one wish you could ask the genie in the bottle to grant, what would it be?

The genie is God and I would ask him to give me more creative ideas, wisdom, and favor so I can know how to market my books successfully.

Does your family support you in your writing career? How?

My husband inspires me to continue to write and travels with me to book signing events and helps me tremendously.

Why did you decide to publish with Infinity Publishing?

I decided to publish with Infinity because I wanted a self-publisher and I also looked at the books that were published. I wanted a local publishing house and I was interested in the 30% royalty rate that the authors receive. I have never seen a publisher that gives the authors a 30% royalty rate of books and that were a plus for me.
