Today we're featuring an interview with Morris George, author of Sheitan's Tango. Our author interview series provides an opportunity for our readers to get to know our authors on a deeper level and also learn more about the types of books we're publishing.
Morris George holds Bachelor and Master of Science degrees in Civil Engineering from the University of Tennessee. His professional work experience includes the private and government sectors, both domestic and foreign.
He worked on the design team of Interstate Highway I-40 (Knoxville-Nashville) and served for one year as the chief engineer of a major highway project in the Middle East. He retired as a Director of an Engineering Division from the Tennessee Valley Authority after thirty years of service.
He is a practitioner of the martial arts. He is a 9th degree black belt, and is recognized as a Grand Master of Isshinryu Karate. During his career he served as instructor at the Knoxville Police Academy, TVA Public Safety, U of TN Karate Club, and area Karate schools. He was inducted into the Isshinryu Hall of Fame and other Martial Arts Halls of Fame.
Synopsis: Sheitan's Tango
SSA Field Agent Jon X (Jon Ten), the ultimate patriot and the man every woman desires, was initially introduced in the action novel Now and Forever. He works for the Government as a field agent, a spy, and an assassin. His targets are the terrorists that threaten the homeland. Jon X is the American counterpart of 007. His actions and adventures continued in the follow-up novel Hither Side of Hell.
Special Agent Jon X stands up to injustice around the world and dances with the devil in Sheitan's Tango. Like the tango, the dance between good and evil goes on around us every day. Jon Ten X tracks the forces of global terrorism and brings them to their downfall in a resounding crescendo. Bullets fly as passions explode and bodies mingle. Global terrorism once again rears its ugly head. Jon X battles to the very end to insure the security of the world. Sheitan's Tango is a must read. Jon X heroics are ideal for filming.

Here’s your chance to market your book. Describe it. And why readers should pick it up?
The novel deals with and addresses threats that we are currently facing or could face in the future. Jon X is a Federal Agent ( a counterpart to 007) uses his training and knowledge to defeat the terrorists in Europe, South America, Middle East, and here in the USA.
How did your book come to life?
While living and working abroad I learned a lot about how people think and plan ahead. I tried to incorporate what I learned and what I visualized could happen into my novels.
Who is you favorite character in your book and why?
Agent Jon X (Jon Ten) is my favorite character. He's well trained and disciplined to identify and defeat terrorists and those that try to bring harm to the homeland.
Why do you think your readers are going to enjoy your book?
My novels are full of action. The events are the kind that could occur in our current lives. My style of writing tends to bring the written word to life. Some of the readers have told me that once they started reading they did not want to put the book down. They even said that they would like to see the story on the silver screen.
How long did it take you to write your book?
This is my fifth action fiction novel. I write when I feel like writing. It takes between four and six months to write one.
Did you learn anything from writing your book that was unexpected?
I learned that I'm capable of authoring a novel. Also, thanks to Infinity, I had the pleasure of publishing.
Can you describe one interesting scene in your book?
This is a scene where our U.S. Embassy is being attacked, and copters and Seals are sent from the USS Constitution to the rescue:
"That's our target," Jon said as he pointed to the Embassy. The attackers had crashed through the gate and were already on the Embassy grounds.
The pilot fired the rockets at the attackers with pinpoint accuracy. Danny's chopper landed on the roof. The other chopper circled around as Jon and the two Seals fired their weapons at the attackers."
"Danny's shot," one of the Seals yelled. "He's laying next to the chopper. The pilot seems to be okay."
"Oh my God," Jon yelled. "Change of plans. Take this chopper over the Embassy. I'll drop down by rope to help them out."
"That'll be suicide." One of the Seals said.
What are your thoughts on self-publishing verses traditional publishing?
Self-publishing gives us all a chance to publish. The people in control of traditional publishing make it very difficult for people to publish.
